This is followed by concerns about infectious diseases, illicit economic activity, income inequality, and labour shortages. Looking ahead over the next ten years, extreme weather events are seen as the biggest global risk. The report suggests that cooperation on urgent global issues may become increasingly difficult and that new approaches will be needed to address these risks.
